Since human societies settled down, dialogue was the decisive medium in establishing the rules of understanding, the best way to establish social peace, in addition to its contribution in the enrichment of knowledge and the development of thinking.
Dialogue is different from debate because it could lead to the truth which could be reached through dialogue positivity. The debate represents a conflict between two opposite idea: it might end when an idea deletes the other or might keep going on…
Here lies the importance of dialogue because it paves the way to the integration of two or more points of view leading to a different idea containing positive opinions, converging after diversion. So it creates a basis of integration, ensures the progress and develops the analyzing methods.
Going back to the beginning of the human mind sovereignty, during the emergence of the Greek philosophy, we find that Socrates is its legitimate father. He supported dialogue as: a way to identify education, an introduction to understand ideas and a definition of values and abstract concepts. Aristotle and other philosophers did the same to develop the researches and dialogues in at a late stage of the constitution of the philosophical schools and the complexity of its researches.
The dialectics theory of Hegel cannot be considered as the culmination of a dialogue which tolerates two theories that lead to the emergence of a third idea to ensure the thinking evolution, its elevation and put an end to conflicts and differences.
If theory forms the backbone of the thinking evolution, it would make dialogue its spine and its leader to elevation. So, dialogue became the first introduction to lay the foundations of philosophy and therefore it has gained a systematic logical identified assets and limitations. It prepared the necessity to recognize the other, not to ignore him and take his ideas into consideration. This is why we can conclude that constructive dialogue, which is far from bickering and debating, leads us inevitably to the democratic climate in the overall aspects of life. Therefore, calm and logical dialogue becomes a way of life connected to all aspects of society and results in understanding and meeting about values associated with justice, goodness and peace; because it keeps the interlocutors far away from hateful selfishness, impact of individual instincts and tendencies, which often deviate from the substantive debate. So, through the constructive civilized dialogue, we can overcome these negative points to achieve the ultimate objective of further integration and peace.
Based on the foregoing, we are invited to chose the dialogue, adopt it as a pattern of thinking and a style of coexistence because it is the best way to eliminate the psychological barriers that are often at the origin of conflicts between individuals as well as exclusion and ostracism, while the dialogue brings us closer to our humanity and leads our steps towards the truth, helps our ideas to grow and evolve away from the negative aspects of conflict and contradiction.
